
Information Assurance Engineer 2
Duties:
Support programs providing network operations and sustainment services (network management, information assurance services, training), network engineering services (network architecture, systems engineering, information assurance engineering, project management), and network information assurance consulting services. Perform as an engineer supporting network security requirements. The candidate will be a subject matter expert in addressing, coordinating, and executing IC, DoD CND, DOD IAVM and related DOD IA compliance activities across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ Years with Bachelor's degree in an Information Assurance, Information Systems or related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, IT).
- Information Assurance related certifications (i.e. CISSP, CISA, SSCP, Security +, GIAC - SANS).
- Previous experience in DoD-based programs.
- Active or previous government security clearance.
- Experience in implementing and evaluating information assurance and security aspects of hardware/software programs from inception to operation.
- Experience in performing certification and accreditation of hardware/software systems.
- Candidate shall demonstrate system security and Information Assurance (IA) experience, and preferably, knowledge of DOD regulatory policies and requirements relating to Information Assurance (IA). Familiarity with the following specific policies: DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP) and DoD Directive 8500.2.
- Strong process orientation; experience in developing and implementing standard processes and procedures.
- Willing to Travel.
- Expert knowledge of the U.S. Government and DOD policies and instructions: DoD 5200.1, DOD 8500 (Information Assurance) series - DITSCAP/DIACAP, and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) application as it related to C&A.
- Information Assurance (IA), Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Vulnerability Assessment and/or Risk Analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DITSCAP/DIACAP activities, SSAA's, and C&A activities (e.g., Certification Testing and Evaluation (CT&E) and Security Testing and Evaluation (ST&E).
- Experience in secure configuration of LINUX and Microsoft Windows Family of Operating Systems (e.g., secure configuration of Registry and security templates, Group Policy Objects, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications (Project, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel).
